Inspirational Ideas

I have been writing supernatural historical fiction for years, however this has been mainly shot stories up until now. As I spend my days teaching history, I began to think about creating a character who could influence key historical events over Millenia which is when I conceived the idea of Jacob. A child born at the same time of Christ in 4BC and dumped in to a brutal orphanage in the back streets of Nazareth as a baby. As he grows and begins to understand his vampiric nature he struggles with questions of morality. As he moves through adulthood, he realizes that does not age like those around him. Slowly the people he has grown to love over a lifetime begin to fade from his reality as he becomes painfully aware of his own immortality. Forced to move on, he gathers knowledge and wisdom as reinvents himself over the next 2000 years. Once I had this idea, I new I must commit it to print.
